If you have a newer unit with USB, you can get a USB network card to do
the job, or if you get Vonage, the right adaptor will have a data port
for your Tivo, and fax machine

  I would love to dump my POTS and go with something like Packet8, but I
have a Tivo which "calls home" every night to get schedule updates.  And
it's my understanding that Tivo modems won't work over VoIP systems.
Anybody got a solution for that?
