[BC] Why I Love Ad Agencies

Ad agencies have nearly killed radio advertising. As a radio 
production director (multiple addy winner, at that), I cant tell you 
how many times we would pitch a client a great schedule with 
compelling and imaginative spots. About 6 months later, the client 
hires an ad agency, pulls all his radio spots and ends up on cable 
TV. Why? The ad agency (usually a one guy shop run by a former radio 
sales person) tells the client he can get better reach - and he's on 
TV at a lower cost than radio. Then the client becomes frustrated, 
fires the agency and goes to the newspaper. "Radio and TV didn't work for me."
Ad agencies are made up of people who could not sell radio or TV advertising.
