Rachel I like the Sangem AT 909 it has the 9Khz/10Khz switching and also
covers the LW band used for broadcasting in Europe

The FM also has RDS decoding which is also in wide use in Europe

The Short wave has many stations preprogrammed and can be used for Ham Radio
listening in SSB USB and LSB

Radio Shack used to sell it as their DC398 But I don't see it anymore in
their stores.

Here is the Crane link they also have the manual as a free download

Subject: [BC] 10 kHz spacing / 9 kHz Receiver

Dear Listmembers,
Anyone know a good car radio and/or portable radio
that has the ability to operate in both 10Khz and 9Khz
spacing. As you fine folks know I am frequently in
Europe and soon to relocate. Thinking caps
                  on...and...GO!

Rachel
