Should have said 250 watts 7 or 8 miles to the UF campus at NIGHT!...
When 
WGGG was there the building housed the studios and transmitter... There
was 
a tuning box for the slant wire next to the sudio building about 100
feet or 
so from the base... It is interesting that that tower may have base 
insulators (not sure) but it was shunt feed with a slant wire and it got
out 
very well considering Gi=ainesville is less than a 2mhos!

Now that I think about it, the Gainesville airport is just a few miles
away, 
maybe they need that strobe because of the airport  slant distance..

After WGGG, which I think the FCC chairmen Mark Fowler got his start in 
radio , those studios were used for WKTK FM and the remains of the tower

were used for STL purposes...
