betcha one of the stations on a nearby channel complained. just
speculation, but I think if that happened the engineering and management at
GN would shut it down until a resolution is reached because they seem to be
a class act.

If anyone knows why I'd be curious. I used to work for Tribune when they
owned WPIX-FM, New York (now WQCD). Maybe I'll just call and ask. With just
a single station they really have no vested interest in the system and, I'll
bet, were concerned about the analog quality.
I'm strangely disappointed that a perfect test of IBUZ's effect on TSL isn't
possible until they turn it back on. If I were the GM or PD I'd be extremely
careful not to do anything to give WGCI and advantage. WGN's claim on #1 is
tenuous. Recent PD changes might have something to do with it.
