[BC] computer question

Tried swapping the mouse and cable from the operating system.  Didn't
work.  Tried the 50 foot cable on the good system and mouse, it worked
OK.  I'll try swapping the mouse and keyboard and see what happens.
As I said, everything works on the NT machine, and dies on the XP
machine.

 Reason for that, if the same symptoms are exhibited with a different
OS,
 ( and I expect they will be ) it's a hardware problem, most likely the
 computer end.

 Here's a wild one.....

 Try the mouse on the keyboard port, and vice versa.
 Normally, it's not workable at all, but does the machine do ANYTHING
 when the mouse is sending "random" key presses, and the keyboard
 is sending "random" mouse movements ?
