[BC] Saved from the dumpster (Older Broadcast/Recording Equipment)

If you're talking about Neumann Mics....they don't even fall into this
category of Old/New. They stay NEW....well...I just had one rebuilt. They
need new skins from time to time. However, while on the subject of Neumann.
I bought a U-47 in 1971 with the original power supply for...are you ready?
$200. I sold it 3 years ago on E-Bay for $4,600+. Why they stopped
manufacturing it still remains a mystery to me. Maybe someone has the answer
to that one. I use a U-87 every night for voice tracks. I had it rebuilt a
few months ago by Klause Heyne. (the rebuild was $1600) WOW...does it sound
good. Close the sound of my old U-47. I'm using the Orban Model 787-A
Programmable Mic Processor. (gentle processing)
