Burt,
    My comments were certainly not meant as a personal attack but as a 
general statement. I've just seen too much of this kind of stuff done, and 
not just in radio broadcasting, to let it go by. Probably done it myself 
before I learned the difference between neutral and ground.

    I spent twenty some years as a commercial and theater electrician and 
saw a lot of very scary electrical installs and hookups. Ground currents and 
microphones don't mix well. Getting knocked of a ladder by a miswired piece 
of equipment will ruin the day.
