The medium wave police frequency in L.A. was just above the broadcast
band.
As L.A. county contained a legacy station on 1600, in Pomona, I would
expect this station's frequency was at least 1640.
The tower existed well into the 1960s, adjacent to the L.A. County
Superior Court building, just south of Santa Monica Boulevard, in West
L.A.
