Ingenious. Still doesn't top what the former owner of WFIF did many moons
ago... which netted him a 13 page list of violations by the FCC Inspector!
Apparently, he had his "Engineer" rig up some kind of circuit with trimpots wired to
the switches. You pushed the appropriate button or set the multi-position
switch, and the antenna monitor & transmitter reading meters would indicate what
they were supposed to.
The FCC Inspector nailed it when he wrote on his violation report:
"Transmitter readings are arbitrary and meaningless."
I wonder if anyone else has a story to top this one? ;)
As for WNLC going away, they certainly did us a favor by doing so. Our signal
is quite listenable, now, in the New London area.
