About Odessa-Permian when they ruled Texas HS football.
In another life, the station stayed on until 2 AM during HS football season
as the games were sold separately. We carried mostly the COL games, but
when the playoffs started, we carried the regional playoff team no matter
who it was. I don't know if other teams were carried by other stations in
the area--I never got the chance to tune around. Something about the diode
detector being swamped with RF at the (manned) transmitter site.
