I recall once being in Wichita Falls, Texas when they were state champions  
in HS Football where they had three stations carrying their games.  Each  
station had a neon sign with their call letters above their booth.
 
I think the was a movie about Texas HS football,  called "Friday  Nights".   
I recall a small station out in west Texas when I was a  youngster that 
operated 6 AM to 6 PM daily, 250 Watts.  but on Friday  nights they stayed on for 
football and basketball games till after they were  finished with the broadcast 
and wrapup.
