That is really below the belt. Course they probably could have gotten away
with it years ago by moving it to a sub carrier. They could have even made
money selling receivers.

Nothing is permanent - just look at WCRB in Boston.
Before he died, Ted Jones put the station into a 100 year trust - and they
broke the trust by moving the format to IBOC.

Yes, the Friends of WRR could almost disband. (although they won't) They
could do a thing like Dorothy Bullett did with KING-FM. Set something in
stone that keeps the format as it is. It's working for KING. Also, being in
the non-com band I don't think they'd be bothered or would have any reason
to change formats. Yeah, I feel this is one they should look at doing. Warm
fuzzy type thing done by the city. Then again, Mayor Laura Miller is there
and....(I like Laura for some reason...maybe because she's a Democrat and
tough as nails) well...I won't go there. :)

WRR's signal is slightly better then the noncomm, but yes they are close.

This would get the sharks off WRR's back - at least until they realize that
the noncom is worth a decent amount of $$$ too.
Then it starts all over again....
