I have a Kenwood Exelon receiver. I do not remember thee exact model number
and I am to lazy to walk out to the truck and check. Is has the Multicast
HD-100 HD adapter, the Ipod adapter, and the auxiliary input adapter.
I must say it went in very slick, the correct plug adapter went right in,
etc. The only problem was that the adapter cables were too long for my
truck, but that is what cable ties are for.
Crutchfield has the installation guide down pat. I received a cracked bezel
adapter. A call to them got a replacement the next day and a telephone call
from technical support asking if the replacement arrived and went in without
problems.
I think that you cannot subscribe to XM and Sirius here in Alaska, but is
seems to come in fine in Anchorage. Most people that subscribe to one of
the services uses a Seattle address to get around the subscription.
I think Pierre Lonewolf told me that the Red Dog Mine near Kotzbue gets XM
in the camp using some sort of master antenna.

Which Kenwood do you have? Crutchfield has a receiver (EZ 900HDS)
with built-in IBUZ and SIRIUS. I almost bought it until I read the
reviews that said the entire receiver was inoperative until it had a
SIRIUS activation. No AM/FM, CD. Nothing. Since I just cancelled my
SIRIUS subscription the radio would be a boat anchor for me. I liked
the radio for reasons other than IBUZ but not if a subscription is required.
Crutchfield needs to fix their web site. It came up with three
receivers with integrated IBUZ. On closer reading, all but the model
above required a separate tuner. I don't know what market one of the
reviewers is in but he complained that the radio had bad AM/FM
sensitivity which lead to no IBUZ reception. I could have sworn I saw
a Kenwood Eclipse model on my last "Where in the World is Carmen
IBUZ" tour that had IBUZ built in for $349 at Circuit City. Maybe
I'll go back before my next scheduled visit. The reviewer's comment
surprised me since I was so pleased with the sensitivity of the separate
tuner.
The only accessory on the Pioneer IP buss now is my 12 CD changer. I
recall a message from Kenwood a long while back that said there was a
converter that would allow me to use the Pioneer unit.
