what's the two big resistors on the LH (from front) side of cabinet (above rectifier
boards) that are visible about 1:35 ?

That must be a bit of 'field engineering may be necessary' ad-hoc modification ...... or
perhaps it is part of the 1000-to500 watt cut-back option as is the small relay toward the
front of the cabinet ?  (The one I worked on was 1000 - 250  )
