[BC] Vonage?

Sorry for off-topic, but anybody know about Vonage on a DSL
line? I promised to help a friend fix a problem tomorrow. He
transferred his phone service to Vonage. Now he has no dial-
tone on his (used to be) Verizon phone line PLUS his DSL
connection no longer works! He was supposed to connect
the supplied "modem" into his Internet connection, but now
he doesn't seem to have one. Am I missing something
here? He clearly stated when he ordered the service that
he had a DSL connection to the Internet and the sales-
person said, "Yes, that's ok. We take care of everything!"

Methinks that they DID take care of everything --no phone
and no DSL. Anybody have a clue? I thought you need
telephone service for DSL since it uses the same wires.
