[BC] A request to all TV engineers...

Even though this is a "radio" list, I know there are many TV engineers 
out there.

    Even though I am a "just"  radio guy, I would like to ask a favor of 
my TV brethren.

    With the shutoff of the analog's, would you folks be so kind as to 
video tape it?

    I realize some of the changes at some stations involve nothing more 
than a tap of a button at the studio, but this is a somewhat significant 
day.

    I would like to request that you make a video clip, showing about 10 
seconds of video before and whatever amount behind, taping the actual 
shutdown, if possible, including pulling the AC disconnects on the wall 
at the transmitter site. (Dub in the sound effect of a motor generator 
winding down here!) Then put the video up on Youtube, with the title of 
"Analog Shutoff-your calls here", so that we can all go on line and find 
the videos.

    Maybe some of you were planning to video this, but if you haven't, 
please consider this request to externalize this moment.
