We have discussed all this to a reasonable depth and are on the same page.
There really is no problem. From what I can see, they are looking for a
replacement. It may be difficult to find someone who will work for nothing.
It is silly for them to hold off paying a rather small amount and position
themselves so nobody will walk in the door. I know I'd never take a job for
some company that has a no-pay reputation.

I'll let this sit until the end of the month and then I'll take Richard's
advice and find the Small Claims court.

I'm happy to have moved on. The replacement work I have is for much better
clients.

One thing that was discussed here in the past was to create a list of
unreliable employers. I think some people felt there was a legal danger in
doing that. Personally I don't find that posting facts could be a
liability. It could be done as simply as making a list of stations or
companies that people would rather not work for. That is purely opinion and
should be covered by the First Amendment.

Didn't someone here say they wouldn't work for a station with old, tired
equipment? Before the person would take the job there had to be a
committment to install some new gear like a transmitter or console?
