Years ago (mid 60's) when I was in college one of the local cafeterias
occasionally advanced meal payments to some students. They had a big
blackboard mounted over the ordering area. All deadbeat accounts were listed
for everyone to see. These were usually paid as soon as possible at was
generally considered a "Wall Of Shame". :-)

Something like a BBB service?
Mike
This would probably be a job for some company or business to run. I don't
think it could be ad hoc. If all the above conditions were met, why would
this be much different from a credit rating service?
I think it would be good if such as service was started. How many of us may
find ourselves on the street, and needing contract work? I wouldn't want to
get stiffed by half the people I do business with.
