I don't mind working on old equipment. It CAN be kind of fun. Sometimes,
though, you run into a dead end with it, like if parts are no longer
available or no manual and schematics available. It's easier to work on
things that don't use SMT. You can actually GET to the resistors and
capacitors and transistors, etc.

Keeping this on topic, I should add I don't mind working on it if I'm
getting PAID for it!
