What about the stations that ceased analog so they can replace the tx, the
feedline and the antenna and wont have the high power digital on until Feb
17? Can they still make the move? What if the other station that had to
cease analog before they could upgrade the digital. They currently use a
pipsqueek tx on Ch52 that only reaches a few miles from their tx. They feed
the cable co's with fiber so thats not a problem but the off air people are
SOL till Feb 17th, and maybe now till June?
BTW, its CH40 in Sarasota an ABC affiliate. It is also not on satellite. I
have a deep fringe yagi, pre amp, and rotor on a 50 foot tower and still
cant receive it. I get all the Ft. Myers and Tampa and most Orlando DT's
but my hometown station, no...

Note that at the bottom of the first page it reads; "[acting FCC
chairman, Michael J.] Copps said that 143 broadcasters have already
terminated their analog signals and another 60 stations plan to do so
before Feb. 17."

That is 203 who plan to be off BEFORE February 17.

The real issue is the spectrum to be freed up for "Public Safety"
radio systems, and that spectrum "sold" at auction.
