Not exactly.  It's actually possible to apply pitch correction that you 
can adjust everything within X cents of a desired note.

We've actually used this in live performance to apply pitch correction 
and harmonies to multiple singers on a shared mic before.

Let me be clear:  I *HATE* it.   But it can work.
