It's interesting that it can distinguish between the sounds, but I guess with 
advanced FFT analysis, almost anything's possible!

I have heard some forms of pitch correction used in certain songs, and I hate 
it, too. I call it the "diddle voice" where instead of sliding smoothly in 
frequency as a human voice normally does, it "steps" from note-to-note. 99% of 
the times I have heard it done, it was very robotic-sounding and nasty. :P

Only one song I have used it very sparingly, and in an artistic way that 
wasn't displeasing.
