Mark:

I have used two Kay phase converters here in Alaska. Both gave service
greater then fifteen years with no problems whatsoever. These installs
were inside the transmitter buildings and were loud. I do know that Kay
makes an external enclosure for them. HINT The bearings have Zerk
fittings. DO NOT GREASE THE BEARINGS in normal use. None of the
bearings on the units I had were ever greased. And if they do need to
be greased for some reason you must use a special grease, not the
ordinary chassis grease.

Also, if you need to reduce the transmitter to half power for some
reason, you need the model with relay control to switch caps in and out
of the circuit. I believe that Kay makes an option that will
automatically switch caps depending on the load.
