87.7 is channel 6's aural carrier.

I believe that Albany NY and Philly are the only two full powers staying 
on 6  as digital. There are some LPTV's on 6 that are using their Aural 
Carrier as FM stations if you will since the LPTV's aren't restricted to 
aural carrier being a % of visual carrier.

The CH 6 in Long Island City NY is putting out 1KW aural and doing quite 
a nice job covering NY City.  All perfectly legal. I think the visual is 
a community service slide show but I'm not sure about that

It's owned by Dick Bogner of Bogner antenna fame.
