The Augusta, Georgia WJBF 6 is abandoning 6 and is currently running a
test pattern and a message. I do not know when they will turn it off.
WJBF is smart.
Now the analog 20 in Wrens, Georgia ( PBS) is moving to 6, WJBF's old
channel. I even think the high VHF allocations are just plain dumb as a
stump. The power these stations get allocated is far to low, and the
problem is impulse noise. Although bad on the low VHF channels it's
still quite bad on high VHF. Last year during a severe thunderstorm,
the lightning was causing blips on the digital of 21 in the GSP market
and their digital is in the upper part of the band for now.
Can we say DUHHHHH? And that means that I have to get me another
antenna for VHF, and then I doubt that I will get reliable signal from
those that do this nonsense.
