Because the station is Class C, it is 1 kW non-D. It serves a small
community that is surrounded by extensive farmland. The only
listeners affected would likely be a relatively small number of
farmers. Nonetheless, the rules state that before a tall structure
within 1 KM of the AM antenna is built, field measurements must be
performed and detuning installed if the pattern shape is
disrupted. The owner is disinclined to notify the Commission and the
Commission very rarely checks non_D patterns, so it will probably
