I conpletely agree!

Using VHF was DUMB! Of course, initially the FCC didn't want to use it-it was
the DUMB broadcasters that insisted it be included-and lobbied (read: BRIBED)
the FCC to change the core to include VHF. Ultimately they will find they
have shot themselves in the foot by doing so. See, it would have been MUCH
cheaper to build UHF only portable DTV devices-not to mention that the smaller
antennas UHF uses lend themselves much better to portable use.

I can't wait to see what happens here in LA when the high band VHF stations
move their DTV to their high band channels-only to find that many people can't
pick them up any more-because virtually ALL the DTV antennas sold in the past
5 years are UHF only!

When will the USA broadcasters learn?

The Augusta, Georgia WJBF 6 is abandoning 6 and is currently running a
test pattern and a message. I do not know when they will turn it off.

WJBF is smart.

Now the analog 20 in Wrens, Georgia ( PBS) is moving to 6, WJBF's old
channel. I even think the high VHF allocations are just plain dumb as a
stump.
