Below is a link comparing NEC-2 elevation patterns for a 4-bay, 1-wave
spaced FM antenna face-mounted on a 24" face triangular tower section to the
theoretical elevation pattern as published by an antenna manufacturer.
The NEC patterns shown in the upper left and right corners of this slide
were calculated for a slice across the elevation pattern at the zero-180
degree azimuth line. They would be different for slices in other azimuth
directions.
The difference in the angles and amplitudes of the lobes and nulls is easy
to see.
