[BC] Right Angle XLR

I don't know how to word this so it doesn't sound stupid but 
here goes.

Which way does a right angle XLR connector go?  Does the 
angle turn away from one of the pins or from between two of 
the pins?

I have a SoundCraft mixer and the connectors are on top 
instead of on the back.  It would be nice to be able to have 
the cables go directly away from the back of the mixer.

My next mixer will have the connectors on the back.
