Normally they just send the DC up on the coax. That would still work. If 
they just have to have a separate DC feed, then you're correct an 
iso-choke might be the best way to go. Iso-chokes, (it'll take a bunch 
of them) might also be the best way to get the cables onto a shorter 
than 1/4 wave tower.

P.S. I've got 3 NOS (will tune to the required frequency) iso-chokes 
(1/2" coax) in stock.. :) Should anyone need one.
