Military radar runs just above the C-band downlink
frequencies, you can purchase an "AWACS" filter from the
folks up the road (they're in Syracuse) at Microwave Filter:

There are also "radar altimeters" that operate just below
the satellite frequencies.

Block Island will be awash in military transmissions.  I can
remember Channel 6 (New Bedford) being torn up periodically
when I spent summers over at Bonnet Shores.  Later stayed at
Windy Meadows (by Matunuck Beac, now a nature reserve) which
is just opposite Block Island. Lots of weird stuff on the
air, plus some interesting FM/TV DX.
