There is a bandpass filter attached to the LNB, but I don't know how it 
compares to the Microwave Filter units. The existing filter was installed 
in the fall of 2001, after the previous owner had a problem with something 
that occasionally made the receiver lose lock. The problem would go away 
after several hours, and no one ever managed to get to the island while it 
was happening. The problem would happen once every few months, and the 
filter seemed to make no difference. The dish was taken out of service 
after the network gave up satellite delivery in 2007.
