The 317C-2 was updated by J. Fred Riley to a C-3 around 1990 while I was DOE at WFAN. It gained a new serial number upon becoming a C-3 and I still have the old metal s/n plate. The MW-50A was in service as an alt-main, but was rarely used as Imus didn't like its sound. We also had an RCA BTA-5 that we called "Little Nipper" as an aux into a shorter aux stick.
