Amen! Preach it brother! I always thought EAS/EBS was a waste because not everybody listens to the radio, like at 3 a.m. Hey, I remember when most stations signed off at midnight, if not 10 p.m. I guess that makes me old. And I'm not even listening to a radio now. But if a tornado is heading to your town in the middle of the night, how is EAS going to help anybody? And what good is a presidential message going to do if missiles are going to arrive in 15 minutes? Or if Hezbollah terrorists, arriving by way of Mexico, set off a dirty truck bomb in the middle of your city? Yeah, EAS has some uses, but it shouldn't be the only game in town.
