Gary Peterson notes: "I am somewhat amazed that Wide Orbit had so many email addresses for our employees. I am, pretty much, the only person who has dealt with Scott Studios, and its successors, since the late 90s."
If there are any e-mail addresses stored in any WO app, and WO has remote access into the system, then apparently WO gathers them and uses them for survey purposes.
We've been running WOTraffic since the summer of 2006, and the system has the capability of sending out automatic e-mails to AEs, SMs and the A/R people concerning spot pre-empts and aging reports, so pretty much every user has their e-mail address stored in the database. All WOTraffic needs is an available SMTP server. I haven't seen WOAutomation, but I suspect it works the same way for people on the programming side.
