[BC] unreliable old equipment query

I don't know what equipment failed, but this was an interesting workaround.  40 years ago I was in a motel in Santa Fe watching a movie on TV when the sound went to hell.  Silent, then after about 10 minutes back but out of sync and poor quality.  When I got home to Colorado Springs, I told my buddy about it.  He was a control room operator at the local station of the same network.  He laughed and explained that he got a frantic call from the Santa Fe station that they had lost their sound link and could he patch the Audio over the phone to them.  Quick thinking on the Santa Fe operators part and I was able to watch the rest of the movie.
