Nothing worthwhile in this business is easy. Some of us love to do 
that. Your GM was right to give you enough rope to hang yourself. 
That's really all a good PD asks for. There are too many really great 
PDs out there who have no authority yet get blamed when the GM or 
Owner's directives fail. Today's PDs are usually scapegoats.
