UPN was an intermediate owner, but Viacom ultimately owns UPN, just as Viacom 
ultimately owns Infinity.

A direct sale from Infinity to FRN may have been too complicated, or may have 
had some tax or other implications, so a suitably circuitous route was used, 
probably using "shelf" corporations as intermediaries.

Possibly something like Infinitiy to infinity Oldco to FRN Newco to FRN.
