Leonard Kahn's biggest problem was, and still is, Leonard Kahn.  He's a
brilliant engineer, but his ego is out of control.  Basically, he is the
Ralph Nader of radio.  

Just one little example: if you have any kind of Kahn exciter, whether it
is used for analog ISB AM Stereo, analog Power-Side, or digital "CAM-D",
you must feed it with audio that has not been clipped or pre-emphasized.
Why?  Because he takes care of those things by himself, inside the Kahn
exciter.  Don't like the way that sounds on the air?  Your only choice is
to take the Kahn exciter out of service.
