reading the near to moderate distant fields. BTW what
would be considered a moderate distant field for AM
N-DA systems? Over a mile?

Back when I was still doing this type of work, you did walkins to establish
ground conductivity and NON-D radiation from the center of the array out two
miles every 0.1 mile.
Then we did from two miles out to 10-20 miles depending on if it was a new
proof of a reproof or Skelton proof. We did DA and Non-DA measurments and
ratioed them immediately.
It was the opinion that the pattern formed outside the near filed and so DA
measurements began at about two miles.
