Haven't heard it yet, but there is one about a block from my house here on the
left coast.

San Luis Obispo County has sirens mounted on top of power poles in the 
event of an evacuation due to problems at the Nuke. It was always 
comforting to live near the back gate, knowing if there were any chance 
for escape and it were really bad, I could note the increase in volume 
and type of traffic and get out myself.

Pretty funny they test monthly on a lower power output which renders a 
sort of growl from them. Every month people would call the emergency and 
radio numbers to see what the problem was.
