HSFB is so popular here that the Cable Co. televises at least two games here
every week.
and just about all of them are on radio somewhere.

    High School football is now just about the only thing that a small AM
station has left to make any decent money. Before the "flea powers" were
issued in the late 80's to the daytimers, Friday night HS football games
were replayed on Saturday Morning, if there was no FM station in the
area to carry the game. FM stations broadcasting HS Football games
became more scarce as the FM's in Suburban and rural areas were moved
closer to major cities, power upgrades, and then swallowed by group
owners that didn't see the need to carry HS football on Friday nights.
    People want to hear these games live, and so do sponsors, not the
next day when it's old news. We all know how parents, grandparents, etc.
can be over their in these games.
