  Pity it won't work with "g"- I have a 802.11g WAP that I use with my
laptop.

 Are you saying that after this update the Tivo modem will work via VoIP??
 That would be great!   I wouldn't have to change a thing since I plan to
connect the VoIP to the existing phone wiring.  Do you have any idea when
this update will come out?
