Some years ago I read an article by a business owner in Chicago that sent a
piece of equipment (it may have been medical electronics) to a customer in
Atlanta. When it arrived it was missing a part. So the company owner got
the part, hopped a plane and hand-delivered it to the customer. Some people
thought he was crazy. But the customer not only did thousands of dollars
worth of business over the years, but he was so impressed that he told other
people and they bought stuff, too. The investment in a plane ticket paid
for itself hundreds of times over. THAT'S how to do it.
