Well local is not dead at WKDK.... we do all of those things, local
news, weather, local sports, and local remotes. Even though we may at
WKDK, be automated part time, the music is from the hard drive, and all
of it is put in the respective playlist by hand. We broadcast local
sports, the local high school games and the Newberry College games.
WBCU in Union, SC is local, and they do their local high school cames.
WPUB in Camden, SC is locally run and has the Camden SC area sports.
WNEG in Toccoa, Georgia is local during the day, with local sports.
Their ratings are high enough you need binoculars to see them.
No, local radio is not dead in small town America. The big corporate
guys are and no wonder they are circling the drain. Those who were
calling you, Keith, were jealous and petty because they forgot what
they were suppposed to do.
