Um...

Is the potted plant an indication that the Jampro antenna can do better 
in a high-foliage environment?

And I don't see anyone hanging from the ERI antenna, either....

here's a sidebar -

IF it weren't for wanting to go with circular polarity...

why not use a batwing / superturnstile antenna?

Seems like they're within a dB or so of true omni, and are definitely 
broadband enough if constructed right (I mean, if they handle an entire 
6 MHz TV channel with reasonable flatness...)

And they avoid the pattern distortion that a pole or side-mounting 
introduces on almost every other antenna, since the mounting pole is 
"inside" the antenna...

I do note that not having a significant vertical radiation pattern is a 
shortcoming...
