ABSOLUTELY! This is actually covered in The Ten Commandments! (No, I don't 
mean the Charlton heston flick, as good as that is.)

It is, in fact, number NINE in the list:

Exodus 20:16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour."

Anyone who calls themself a "Christian" who routinely and wilfully violates 
what is written in The Good Book... let's just say that they are NOT doing 
themselves any favors... and leave it at that.

ABSOLUTELY! Moral issues aside, I would believe *legal sanctions* would be in 
order, here! To openly suggest that someone should be assasinated is not only 
*wrong*, but illegal! 'nuff said.

And rightly so. Slander is wrong. Telling the *truth* is one thing. 
Embellishing it or fabricating stuff about someone else, for the purpose of besmirching 
their character is just plain *wrong*. It goes against Number Nine, posted 
above.
